India and Pakistan of the 60s were helpless against pace, Australia/England/Windies/Saffers played pace far better even if Saffers were lacking in batting, so record against Australia and England would be the gold standard in that era and Pollock averages 26 against them with 7 fifers in 22 games while Hall averages 32 and has just 4 fifers in 31 games. One can argue conditions but Hall was bang average in Australia and England while Peter Pollock was absolutely sensational.
