Pakistan ODI Squad in England

Rik

Cricketer Of The Year
They select a player who will miss a match or 2, they leave out possibly their best batsman, they leave out one of their all-rounders and call up another who just happens to play for Surrey and leave out Saqlain even though he's in the country...and plays for Surrey

It's almost like the England selectors...:(

It appears Razzaq's omission isn't entirely cricket-based...
Nor do I blieve the Saqlain one is either, how can one on the top 3 spinners in the world suddendly after playing nearly ever game for his country, be left out of nearly all the World Cup games and now this tour, the guy is fit and playing so seems strange.

I also think your being very hard on A.Mamood the guy has always been in and around the side anyway, playing for surrey has enabled him to not only experiance the conditions, but face half the squad as well.. Not to mention scoring like a mad man! 70 (41) vs Kent and I recall a 100 from only 70 odd balls as well... And his bowling has been good as well.

Yeah I always thought Azhar Mahmood was a better batsman than Razzaq, but Saqlain is certainly very unfortunate, how can they drop somebody who has more a 100 wickets in ODI and is less than 25 years old !
