In a major upset that sook up Division 3, Surrey beat Warwickshire by 1 wicket with 1 ball to spare.

Chasing 273 all out (a ton for Hemp the main batting, but fine bowling by Javed (4-46), Surrey collapsed from 117-1 to 165-7 then 196-8 before a super knock from Wilkes, and powerful hitting from Shrinivas added 48 at more than a run a ball for the 9th wicket.

Still, needing 30 with the last wicket, the game was a distant hope, but Collymore gave the support needed and we beat them!

Quite what effect that has on the Warwickshire title bid, we're not sure yet.

yep. My congratulations go out to Marc and Surrey. We had it won only for our bowlers to go off the boil. Had they stuck to their guns and finished marc off, we would have secured the title as TN were defeated and we'd be preparing for division 2 cricket next season :O . However, next week a win will be enough for us though to secure the title.
