One Day Reports for last round

Province arrived to a wintery wet Worcester with victory being the required result to sure up their division 3 spot for next season, and to keep any promotion hopes alive.

After a firey start from Worcester which saw them race to 1-132, a gritty fight back was required. The fightback was heralded by the arrival some good line and length bowling from Lee and Nelson, and after the barrelling start Worcester found it hard to gain any momentum as they struggled 7-223. Brett Lee finally found the form which makes him one of the most feared quicks taking 3-20 off his 10.

In response Western Province, well this is sorta really hard to describe cos I don't know if it's good or what quite happened, so who knows, but i'll describe it with this face:wow: . That's right WOW. Province finished at 1-223 which meant they tied. It was pretty weird because Llewellyn got 99 not out, which is weird i don't think he was hungry to get his ton or win the game, so he did sorta well. And Astle got 63 and Rickman got 50 not out, so I sorta don't get the result, it's not like they didn't try but i dunno.:wow:

GAME IN A PHRASE.

After the Howarth-less batting line up put up a good defendable total Warwickshires bowlers turned on the ****ters as the team crumbled to an embrassing defeat.

We've only bowled out one side all season in the one dayers and ironically that was Karnataka. If we dont' improvement heads may roll,

Colts avoid relegation with a solid win over the Bushrangers

Voctoria won the toss and elected to bat, Starting well With Sangakarra and Elliot both getting to the mid 30's until Beasley was Intrduced, removing Sangakarra, followed the next ball by Lloyd. Klusener than did a similar job, removing Elliot and Webster in the next overVaas than removed lewis soon after to leave victoria Reeling at 5-101. Harvey and Blackwell probvidid solid support for Hodge but the damage was already done, Victoria finished up 8-205. Hoggard 2/35, Beasley 2/30 and Klusener 3/32, all from 10 overs were the best bowlers.

Viictoria Started the colts innings well too removing Shewag 2nd ball. Beasley made a slow 19 before being caught off the bowling of Cam white. Form there it was all colts with Singh 59(57) and Anderson 63* (109) removing any hopes of a Bushrangers win.

Klusener and Anderson were declared by colts manager Andrew Garven joint men of the match.

Leics conquer Canterbury as Ponting finally learns how to bat.

Leics opened the batting and after a shaky start with Kabir going for 2 Samaraweera joined Lumb at the crease, then with Lumb going for 17 things were looking bad at 2-44 because Ponting was coming in, and quite frankly he was in some bad form. In fact, the whole team can't bat except for Kabir (normally), Ogden (normally), and Samaraweera.. oh, and Wright, but he's a bowler..
Anyway, Ponting came in, and, scored runs, he got 72 before being dismissed, a valuable 142 run partnership with Samaraweera, who went on to score an unbeaten 105* off an agonising 152 balls...
Ogden played a quickfire 15 and Deitz's 8* off 4 was valuable.

In response Canterbury was even shakier, with Cunis on a hat-trick at Canterbury 2-4. From there on in Canterbury never seemed to recover, finally ending their innings at 9-200, with opener Sinclair unbeaten on 109*, a masterful innings in a losing team.

Well I'd be prepared to debate it all day.

How could a team, chasing a modest total like 223, possibly tie a game while only losing 1 wicket? Clearly they would have had amble opportunity to hit out, and either win the game or lose wickets.
