After fetching 10 wickets in less than 60 overs, I can’t see India changing their attack barring injuries. Even Pujara and Rahane made contributions which means it’s highly likely they stick around till the end of the series. Can’t see their careers ending mid-series.

Nah, he is essentially undroppable IMO. Even this Test, when we were mostly talking about Siraj and Bumrah, he still got figures of like 80/5 over both innings.

Since 2018, in his last 24 matches, he averages 19.64 with 85 wickets. Since 2019, in his last 13 matches, the average is 17.63 with 44 wickets. It's an insane run of form. If not for the emergence of Bumrah, we would talk about Ishant all the time.

Bring in anyone for Pujara with Rahane at 3. Can't bring in Ashwin now that Shami scored a 50 but hope they do. Shami is just not that useful a bowler right now.

Drop Ishant. You have to make difficult calls. Leaving out Ashwin wasn't an easy call.

Ishant is so much better than Shami with the ball for these conditions though. His spell to Hameed and Bairstow blew the game open.
