For some reason BD has stopped producing good technically sound batters but exciting pacers.
Even in recent U19 WC Borson and Maruf were most impressive pacers but their batting contingent was pretty average. Gifted that QF game to Pak against some ordinary balls... While BD pacers were bowling jaffas to take out Pakistani batting.

Clearly a small sample but Rana looks a real find for Bangladesh. Going to cause problems for lots of players by look of him.
Hopefully they get the tail for 50 or 60 more and set up a good run chase.

Why Rana is different from the rest that we produced?
- Very tall and extracts more bounce from even length balls
- Consistently bowls around 143kph with atleast one hitting 145 in every over. Guys like ebadot/taskin hit 143k probably once or twice in entire spell.
- Bowling action looks simple and less injury prone. Only that head falls sideways way too much sometimes
- Will increase pace over time. Hes only 21 and did not come across advanced level coaches before.
