At the previous board meeting we decided that too many younger players retiring was unrealistic, the sim has been run and these players will retire at the end of the season. Their age and club is in brackets. No replacements rookies will be given anymore.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Gough going to get a good send off from the club. Sad to see Cornwall go. He's a bit old in WCC terms but was coming into his own at Yorks...

Mike Hussey
Hussey’s second season with the Bushrangers will be his final one for WCC, as he has announced his retirement at the end of the season. Since been recruited to Victoria from WA, to later be joined by his brother David, Mike has been a regular member of the 1st class side, and has not miss a match as yet. Mike’s highest score so far for the club is 91, made in season 6, but has been averaging high 30’s for most of his career. Mike also played 9 one day match last season, averaging 86, batting low in the order and getting the red-inks. Hussey will continue in the four day side, but has stepped down from the one day side, to allow the rookies a fair go. Mr Cricket will be missed by Vic team-mates.

Jayaraman Madanagopal
The gun recruit for season 7, Madanagopal was always a thorn in the side of the Vics when we played Colts, and when the offer was presented the Bushrangers jumped at it. Jayaraman had an impressive record for Colts, and is the second highest run scorer of all time in the WCC, behind V Mane, with 4 tons, and 15 half centuries. This season he is averaging over 40 in the one dayers, and when he was surprised selected for the 2nd XI four day side, he belted a lovely ton. Madanagopal will continue in the 1st XI one day side, and will hopefully lead Victoria to a division 1 championship, he will however be removed from the four day roster, as Victoria have many rookie batsman trying to cement a contract next season. Madanagopal will hopefully join the WCC hall-of-fame at the end of season, and if so would be the 1st Victorian to do so.

Hmm just noticed this, what a joke that someone that young retired, very realistic.
i did say the players that already had their retirements confirmed earlier in the season would still retire, he was one of them. As Hakon said he wasnt that good anyway...
