We should be preserving Siraj for the tests. Don`t know why he is here.

Yeah, that is going to be the side. Maybe they will let Siraj play as he has not played since his hamstring issue. Also, we got a day-night test at Bangalore this season. Sweet.
Why shouldn't we try Siraj as well? I don't get this need to pigeonhole certain players who can do fine or improve generally in multiformat cricket.

No pigeonholing here. Tests are more important and we want our best pacers there. Something like how Aussies are conserving Green at the moment.

It's just a couple of games really vs WI. That's not going to kill anyone unless Siraj is being rushed back too quickly, which hasn't been the case so far. We also rotate pacers in Tests at home more so really no reason to copy Australia with Green, who's had more serious problems than Siraj.

We have Umesh Shami to do the bulk in Test especially at home. Siraj should be mostly used for ODI/T20 stuff. Not a lot of overseas cricket left in the cycle anyways barring that one test in England. Feels like Prasidh should get a shot as well at D/N test vs SL in March.

I think only one of Prasidh or Siraj will play. Shardul would play ahead of the other one IMO.

Summary so far - Prasidh Krishna is a worse fielder than me and possibly most people in this forum. Virat called the play on the googly to get Pollard first ball and convinced Rohit to take a DRS that was successful in dismissing Brooks. Pant absolutely sucks in providing inputs for DRS, advising the spinners and in setting the angles for the fielders. Washy has looked good on comeback. We can't play more than one wrist spinner and one of Bumrah/Siraj/Prasidh in the side as it already leaves us with 2 crap fielders and 2 #11s in the lineup.
