I'll just open this and see if people post.

(Don't think every women's tour should have a thread yet but this one seems pretty big, Australia's first series in six months)

I won't be surprised if our bowlers perform well, but the batting is worryingly shaky - like, "how are we even going to reach 100 against these bowlers" shaky.

Devine might hopefully come out of her slump, but I still feel like the Bates injury leaves a massive hole in our line-up. She's probably not that far off retirement anyway, so we need to find a long-term solution.

Recorded this game and watched it a bit late after finishing work.

Obviously a much, much-improved performance from NZ, which I was proud and relieved to see. Jess Kerr was sensational.

But I did allow myself to get a little excited after the Healy, Mooney, Haynes and Lanning wickets, and I wish that Gardner ball hadn't popped out of Green's hands...

It does feel like one that got away. With Australia's post-isolation rust, this might have been our best chance of the series.

But I hope we can build on this and find a bit of further improvement - we all know Australia will, so we'll need to raise our game again to remain competitive.

I don't want to jinx it, but this has been great from the Ferns so far. I really hope they can get these last 50-odd runs.

EDIT: And there we go - I jinxed it. But a great all-round contribution by Frankie Mackay.

I'm hoping Jess Kerr and Frankie Mackay might hear from a WWBL team or two following their showings in this series so far. I'd love to see them both get a gig over there.
