***Official*** Australia in Bangladesh 2017

I don't know much about Bangladesh players, but the one thing that stood out to me this game was the selections. Having a guy like Nasir Hossain playing effectively as a specialist batsman at no. 7 seems strange, when you've got a guy like Mominul sitting out.

And as I said earlier it's a strange team balance. How much did adding a 2nd quick and 3rd spinner really make? At least one of Shaiful or Taijul could have sat out this game (maybe even both) and replaced by 1 or 2 specialist batsmen without taking anything away from the BD bowling effort. But how many more runs could another 2 specialist batsmen have made? Even just going of averages that could have easily have been at least an extra 100 runs for the match which would be match defining.

Anyway you guys are still in prime position, don't let half a session of momentum fool you into thinking Australia are getting ahead. BD should still be strong favourites from here in these conditions.
Warner looks very determined and we all know what Smith is capable of. They are also playing well. I dont feel great about our chances tbh. I feel we definitely let slip winning position by collapsing in the mid innings

That's a terribly condescending remark to make. The "lots" have changed on both sides; more a case of how far your guys have fallen than the Banglas have risen.
More like begrudging respect at the Bangladeshi progress combined with an annoyance that our side hasn't performed anywhere near the level we expect of them. When we play NZ I expect to win by an innings each game, but NZ are a world class side and are not a minnow.

Really does show how much momentum matters almost as much as how far you are behind in the game. Takes a lot for a team to bounce back from a collapse like Bangladesh's, hence the scoreline. Heck of a comeback from Oz considering the position they were in and being a bowler down (yeah, yeah, he's a quick but bowls well on these pitches). It absolutely is not over but the Aussie top-order had to stand up .

As things stand I have Bangers 55:45 to win, but it's really only that close because TPC (and to a lesser extent Warner) are the n.o batsmen. If TPC goes early today it almost immediately becomes 70:30 Deshis, because he's just that important to Australia's chances. If he and Warner bat the first hour or 90 minutes it's about as good as over imo.

If Warner bats through the next session at the same 70+ scoring rate then Australia win. However, the wicket is turning into a shocker so I wouldn't bank on it. Bangladesh by 32 runs.

Urgh Smith is so good.

BD managed to take 10 in a session after a 100 run opening partnership against England. So there is hope. But i'm not feeling the magic. Smith is so damn good and now Warner has found his zone. They both just dont let the bowlers settle into a rhythm.

Mushy is such an awful captain and keeper. Brings the whole team down. He's still worth his spot in the side as a batsman, but I'd much prefer Tamim as skipper, and someone like Liton Das as keeper.

Gonna take some magic from Miraz and Shakib today morning to pull this one back. Fizz is doing okay in providing support but has definitely lost a step since injury. I don't know if what he needs his more time off, or more game time. But something isn't right. Taijul hasn't been that good this game either.

Bird will play, Cartwright will not. There's no way they're going in with their only quick being Pat Cummins unless the wicket is literally rolled mud
