Good guess! (2-run first innings deficit)I'm going to guess Australia A is losing again

I would bring it up either way. If we lose It's a solid excuse, if we win it makes us look even better.I'm going to guess Australia A is losing again
Forgot about Bancroft and also mixed up Philippe with InglisPhillipe doesn't even make his state side at full strength
I hate to say it but Bancroft is probably the closest thing to a genuine Australia A player in the squad (he shouldn't be though)
They recovered 224/8 to 275 all outI'm going to guess Australia A is losing again
Yeah watched a few overs on SS3, funny the Aussie commentators perplexed about how he hasn't played a Test for NZ citing his FC average of 48.Bruce really stepping up as captain of NZA. There is some genuine competition for test spots now with Young, Foxcroft and Bruce.
It's kind of insane how settled the middle order has been over the past decade. Munro too averaging 51 and could only manage a single test. I guess Sinclair was in the same boat a decade before also averaging 48 but couldn't get a regular place, although he was perhaps more of a top order option than Bruce.Yeah watched a few overs on SS3, funny the Aussie commentators perplexed about how he hasn't played a Test for NZ citing his FC average of 48.
And they're right, hey. Henry Nicholls, I know his last innings was a double century but that really just makes it worse in that it gives justification for his continued selection.Yeah watched a few overs on SS3, funny the Aussie commentators perplexed about how he hasn't played a Test for NZ citing his FC average of 48.
Tbf, I think Phillips is deservedly ahead of Bruce in the queue. Bruce's best hope might lie in Mitchell losing form - but even then, given how much credit Mitchell has in the bank - and the conservative nature of the selection group - he'd probably have to wait until the 2024/25 season at the earliest for a shot. And they're right, hey.
