It's on again.

The NRL tipping competition will be kicking off again soon. Same format as last year, which is explained below. Please advise if you're keen to have a crack.

For those who didn't play last year but are keen, the comp is "Buy" or "Sell" tipping using the TAB points starts put out each week.

A buy is always saying the favourite will win the match AND cover the handicap.
A sell is always saying the underdog will win OR lose by less than the handicap.

Example - Team A(-6.5) is favourite vs Team B(+6.5). If you think Team A will win by seven or more, you BUY for this game. If you think either Team B will win or lose by six or less, you SELL.

PLEASE NOTE UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED THE LINES YOU'RE TIPPING ON ARE AS POSTED HERE. If they change later in the week you're still tipping on the ones I post unless there's a post by me (or if I'm away whoever is doing the lines for he week) acknowledging the change - I don't think they changed at all after they were posted last year, so if it happens it will be very rare.

Match times posted are Aus Eastern times, for those tipping from overseas or interstate.

As Ash has noted in the NRL general thread, the following slight alterations tot he rules will apply this year:

Everyone has two chances to miss getting tips on in time. Missed rounds will be awarded half the points available. Therefore 4 points for a normal
8 match round, 3.5 for a 7 match round etc
# be prepared to score a duck if you miss 3
# awarded points are only available up to and including round 22
# tips to be in 30 mins before kick-off in the opening match of the round

Round 1 kicks off wih the Vegas double header on Sunday March 2, Aus time. Once the TAB has posted the betting lines for round one, I'll put them up.

Get amongst it lads. Was a lot of fun last year.
