I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Thought I might start a new story.

This time it's 2007 and NZ are about to tour Australia. But due to a major contract dispute the regular contract players have gone on strike and will refuse to tour. They are backed by their coach and some management. NZ cricket board and isn't standing down and have appointed me to coach and manage the team. However, I cannot pick anyone who's played a test match before (ODI's are okay). Should be interesting.

Things aren't getting better for NZ. We were dismissed for under 200 twice in a row.

England overpowered us by 91 runs in a match with very few positives. We improved in our next game against Australia but we seem to be a long way off from winning a match.

We had the same Xi for both matches:

NZ XI
1. N Horsley
2. R Taylor
3. N Broom
4. R Nicol
5. J Ryder
6. A Ellis
7. P McGlashan (c, wk)
8. N McCullum
9. E Thompson
10. M Gillespie
11. G Aldridge

England vs New Zealand
England 4 for 224
K Pietersen 67, I Bell 62
M Gillespie 2-22, G Aldridge 2-48

New Zealand all out 133
P McGlashan 32, J Ryder 31
A Flintoff 4-28, A Davies 2-38

England won by 91 runs.

I'm going to to a run down of stats after the tournament is over rather than match by match performances.

Australia vs New Zealand
New Zealand 192 all out
A Ellis 55, N Broom 36
S Clark 2-32, B Lee 2-33

Australia 5-193
M Clarke 54, P Jaques 38
N McCullum 2-17, E Thompson 1-32

Australia won by 5 wickets
MOTM: M Clarke

McIntosh replaced Horsley at the top of the order, and had a good impact but was out after his brisk start.

New Zealand 119 all out
J Ryder 26, T McIntosh 22
S Harmison 5-38, R Sidebottom 2-16

England 2-120
M Trescothick 59*, O Shah 40*
G Aldridge 1-22, M Gillespie 1-50

England won by 8 wickets

MOTM: S Harmison

Things go from bad to worse with another humiliating defeat.
Peter McGlashan was bumped up to three but failed with just 6 runs.

Australia 3 for 280
R Ponting 133*, P Jaques 89
A Ellis 1-45, E Thompson 1-47

New Zealand 104 all out
R Nicol 24, A Ellis 23

New Zealand 8-173

Looks to be a permanent fixture!

Unfortunately I'm heading off today so I won't have access to this computer anymore.

Fortunately, I'll be able to use the computer that has the Bangladesh game so I'll revive that.

I can always just email myself the save file of this match, but I think I'll cut between the two from time to time.
