Murali outperformed Pakistani bowlers in Pakistan and English bowlers in England. That should count.

Lol, Murali was definitely better away. Murali's workload is always greater, but it especially shows away where the captain is just shy to toss the ball much to Ashwin.

Murali was better than Warne in West Indies, England, and New Zealand. During the time their careers coincided, he was better in India too. Overall he was better against India than Warne.
That is against the next best spinner.
There is a gap of a parsec between the two on unhelpful conditions.
