Nowadays they play so much cricket that the Internationals hardly feature in domestic games of any kind, particularly first class.
I came upon this interesting match while looking through Sachin's first class matches.

It was the 00 season Ranji Trophy semi, Bombay vs Tamil Nadu. TN batted first and posted a huge total of 485. Bombay soon found themselves in huge trouble at 127-4. The rule is to either force an outright victory or gain a first innings lead to progress to the finals and Bombay's chances looked virtually nil on both counts.
However the Master had different ideas.
He combined with long time bud Kambli and then Amol Muzumdar to get the score to 370 odd, but with the dismissal of the latter, the wheels came off, and Bombay found themselves staring at the barrell at 472-9.
Sachin, then went into overdrive, hogged almost entire strike and did manage to help Bombay across the first innings total. His silent partner fell immediately afterwards, having made 0 off 7 balls. Sachin remained notout on 233 with, his highest first class score then, with 5 sixes.
TN had no option but to go for an outright win, but in the process were all out for 171 in the second innings, which Bombay chased down succesfully.
Bombay bouyed by this, went on to take the trophy that season.
Personally for Sachin, who admitted afterwards, it went a bit in taking off some of the pain off the Chepauk loss against Pakistan in which his heroic hundred failed to get India home in an epic chase.
