After a protracted meeting the following changes have been confirmed.
From Season 3, WCC will be radically changed to a 5 division structure of 6 teams in each.
To implement this, the following expansion teams have been included - ACT, Mashonaland, Free State, Guyana, Jamaica and Faisalabad.
2 proposing teams had to be missed out, so bad luck to Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan and Sui Gas Corporation of Pakistan.
The Board of WCC have commissioned marc71178 yet again to provide a report into how best to integrate the teams into the leagues and cups - a summary of his report is attached here.
Note that the divisions may be different for the 4 day competition and 1 day competition.
Queries regarding promotion and relegation from season 2 to 3 are to be directed to the newly appointed board member marc71178 (as he's the only one who understands them!)
The 6 expansion teams will play a 50 over round robin towards the end of season 2 to determine which 2 get a bye to Round 2 of the Cup.
The second point is that with immediate effect, friendly matches have been abolished (with the exception of pre-season matches) - this is to free up more of the board's time for such important matters as attending luncheons and playing golf (since we're now all big executive types)
Finally, the WCC will continiue in the absense of head honcho and all-round good egg GB - with his glamourous assistant Rich2001 taking the reins. This news will mean that there will be no extra Tournaments!
