Have a look at Mumbai, Karna, SA, NSW
That's a tad unfair, afterall all those teams have transfered players twice and all had 6 draft picks and new rookies... Mash' have had nothing.

If your going to compare, at least compare to teams he will play in the next season.

yeah fair enough, but he is still supposed to compete against them, and they will always have had that much time over Mash

I am young yet, after a season or 2 I might be able to build my squad but at the moment I'm just trying to cause a few upsets

Watch out for Barney Rodgers, in a practise series he averaged 41 with the bat and 28 with the ball...

i never said i was unbeatable, but anything less than winning both 1d and 4d division 5 titles will be unacceptable.

They won't be competing for a few seasons though - with 5 divisions and all that!

We played a few practise series and I ended up with quite a few wins in those series, if only the team could be consistant!

Press Release

Mashonaland have appointed new Coach Eric "Rik" Heath with immediate effect. Mashonaland Press Officer Peter Malaka has this to say to the waiting press:

"A few months ago the club were contacted by the chairman if the WCC (World Club Cricket) League about playing in the competition. Mashonaland, having a limited domestic calender, agreed straight away feeling that it would be a great chance to put Zimbabwe Cricket on the world map and also give their players some experiance of playing against some of the top sides in the world."

When asked about the appointment of Eric "Rik" Heath as manager Malaka had this to say:

"Rik is a new and exciting choice as the Coach of Mashonaland, he is young and very enthusiastic and we feel he is the perfect choice to guide the team to World Success in the future"

Malaka also had this to say about his expectations for the new season:

"We understand our position and the strength of our squad, and this being our 1st year in the competition we are not expecting great things but we think that the squad is strong enough to cause some upsets against such teams as Guyana, Jamaca and Karachi. Due to the lack of One Day cricket played in Zimbabwe we are hoping to learn more about this side of the game since only Craig Evans has much experiance of the One Day game. This season will be a learning experiance for us in every way."

Malaka tipped the Petal Brothers, Craig Evans, Brighton Watambwa, Barney Rodgers, and Gus MacKay to spring a surprise or two. He also confirmed that Andy Petal, the Wicketkeeper/Batsman would be captain this year with Rodgers as his Vice-Captain.

I just won a championship I played, ACT coming 4th after I beat them, Karachi and Jamaica =2nd on 77 Points, Mashonaland win on 79.

Oh also...I might consider trades on any of my players. I'm not really willing to let Tom Petal or Barney Rogers go though.

I know, whoever came up with the idea of the names must have been pretty damn clever if you ask me!
