For me there really isn't much that seperates No's 2 - 5

SA is trundling steadily downhill; I wouldn't have thought that NZ and WI would be this far behind.

Have you seen the West Indies overseas record lately? Of the top of my head we've lost 7 of the last 8 Tests overseas (with a draw in SA) and have only won matches against England, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in at least the last 5 years.

A few of the more memorable results...

5-0 down under
3-0 in SL
2-0 in India
I think 2-0 in Sharjah v Pakistan - not 100% sure
4-0 in England of course
5-0 in South Africa
2-0 in New Zealand

Those of course of the series where we've failed to put a win on the board.

Yes, they really are that bad. Their points haul comprises: 167 in Bangladesh, 411 in South Africa, 427 in India and 844 in Zimbabwe.

From the gist I've got, Liam's always optimistic about West Indies.
Can't really blame him - he knows more than anyone I've heard of about the Caribbean game. Yes, including Tony Cozier. Well, he didn't know who Fidel Edwards was, but I guess even the best must have slip-ups.
Certainly he's always quick to point-out any exaggerations in the paucity of their performance.
Anyway, he's got a bit more reason to be optimistic about SA and Pak - their home form isn't quite as abysmal as their away.
