Pretty sure he'll retire with an average under 45. In the last 4 years Kohli has played 62 tests averaging 32.90.

Depends how long he goes on for. I think there's an increasing argument he no longer makes their strongest side at home.

Kohli is *still* 100% certainty to play in all 5 tests in BGT regardless of scores. Same for Rohit. And that should tell you all about how Indian cricket functions.

If this continues in the BGT, then he must be dropped
I said a while back, he needs runs in Australia and England. There's a serious problem if that doesn't happen because I'm not sure he makes their strongest side in Asia anymore. He is properly cooked on low turners.

International Vice-Captain
Kohli slipping into the Cook-Jayawardena-RTaylor category of batters. No shame in that - all fine players but a tier below where he appeared to be a few years back.

I'd say not just him slipping into that territory but would he get in an all time India team now?

Gavaskar
Sehwag
Dravid
Tendulkar
Azharuddin
Laxman

That could easily be top 6 with Dhoni/Pant in for Azhar if you wanted 5 bowlers etc...

His legacy is being tarnished by the series, turning into Botham territory for playing on reputation not ability.

Johan

International 12th Man
A few people on here still rate him over Root.
He's a greater player of bounce imo, as Root has a glaring technical weakness against High bounce which I'm sure he'll work on. Express Pace doesn't seem to bother either and Kohli is just so far inferior a batsmen against spin and movement it's not actually close.

he'll score runs in England. he's strong versus swing now and the pitches will be flat and the bowling shite.
Perhaps one of Kohli groupies on this forum will screenshot your post and circulate on social media how ENG fans still fear their man.

I just learned that they are already talking about Kohli is the only one who averages over 47 in test and ODIs.

I legitimately do not think there is a single regular Indian poster left on this forum who thinks Kohli is anything other than crispy deep fried.
