Well a sad time for WCC with one of our foundation managers calling it a day...

Surrey Manager Marc Robbins has informed the WCC board that he will be retiring effective immediatley...

Robbins who also managed Warwickshire in the early days of WCC has told WCC boss Brendon Goff that he feels he can no longer devote enough time to WCC to do his team justice and felt that Surrey were better off with someone who can give them the required time needed to build them into the force they once were...

Robbins will be retained on the Board as an independent advisor...

Surrey's position is now available to current managers, if you wish to apply please send an email to wccc at cricketweb dot net with your application..

Thank you all for the words of support - it wasn't an easy decision to make, but with my work situation at the moment being so hectic something had to give I'm afraid!

Whoever takes on Surrey I wish the best of luck, and can only apologise for leaving now and not allowing you the chance to bring in your own players!

As Blewy said, I hope to still help out behind the scenes as and when required, you can't get rid of me that easily!
