Who is the better bowler?
It is pretty close. Ashwin is much better at home, and Jimmy isn't better enough away to declare him superior. What Jimmy has going for himself is his crazy longevity.Dang this is pretty close so far.
This. Jimmy's longevity is a bigger factor in his favour than his away recordIt is pretty close. Ashwin is much better at home, and Jimmy isn't better enough away to declare him superior. What Jimmy has going for himself is his crazy longevity.
Both have played roughly 42% of all their matches away from home. Both equivalent performances in Australia (Jimmy averages little better (34), Ashwin (42) more valuable in winning matches, could keep Anderson ahead slightly) and in each other's homes (Anderson averages 29 in India, Ashwin 28), Anderson better in South Africa (both are mostly bad there, Anderson (34) being less bad than Ashwin (48)), Ashwin much better in Sri Lanka (Anderson 33, Ashwin 21, Ashwin played against a great line-up in 2015) and better in West Indies (Anderson 24, Ashwin 19, both played weak batsmen). So overall, away record isn't really that much in favour of Anderson, his strong suit is his longevity.Honestly not a huge fan of either, but would lean Anderson. Jimmy a little less protected?
I mean ofcourse, you voted for Ashwin..... Btw I also voted for AshwinI want to know who voted for whom.
I voted for Ashwin, btw.
Well there have been four test cricketers with the last name Anderson (if you also include it as a first name) vs one named Ashwin. Really a great way to avoid confusion. Why would you mention one bloke in his full name and the other only in his last name? Like that's the first thing go through your head when you make this thread
Yeah Corey Anderson blows these two out of the water. @Fuller Pilch to confirm.Well there have been four test cricketers with the last name Anderson (if you also include it as a first name) vs one named Ashwin. Really a great way to avoid confusion.
Agree 100%.Yeah Corey Anderson blows these two out of the water. @Fuller Pilch to confirm.
For starters, in Tamilnadu we don't really have last names. Ashwin is his full name. But they just add the father's name as a surname in passports etc.Why would you mention one bloke in his full name and the other only in his last name?
