lol this will be good. How much can we narrow "peak" down to?

Jimmy never bowled a ball as good as the Harris to Cook ball

So if that's his peak ball, then I guess the answer is Harris

Being based in England I've always found it intriguing - Anderson feels significantly underrated on here and massively overrated on other Cricket groups I am a part of. I do think Anderson although maybe that's helped by seeing more of him than Harris. I do recall listening live to The Ashes overnight in the 2013/14 season and seeing the highlights and how good Ryan Harris was then will always stick out to me.

Ryan Harris was as good as anyone on his day but "his day" was like 30 days total in his career
Harris at his best was absolutely phenomenal. Harris at his worst (early-mid South Australia days) was barely FC standard

So still marginally better than Anderson then

Line and Length

Cricketer Of The Year
Ryan Harris, at his peak, was an outstanding bowler. However, much of his reputation is based on two Ashes series - 2013 in England and 2013/14 at home. In those Tests he took 46 wickets @ 19.47 and this, plus a 2 Test series against SL when he took 11 wickets @ 14.55 are his career highlights.
In all he played in 10 series and those 3 series resulted in over 50% of his wickets. In the remaining 7 series in which he played (16 Tests) his 56 wickets came @ 28.63 - solid but not outstanding.

Ah the classic "if you take out his best few series his overall record isn't that good"

I'd wager if you ignore Anderson's top 25% of series too his average would be a fair bit higher than 28

He did manage a long career. He spent most of playing Adelaide first grade because he was ****ing **** at the time.
Yeah, Harris was too crap to even be picked let alone do well for most of his career. He's lucky he didn't play in this period because then he'd have a Suranga Lakmal record.

Guys why are we ignoring the directives as put forward in the OP? "Ignore longevity"

Stay on target

GIMH is the only one respecting parameters so far what does that say??
