ICC2002 v ICC2005

Apologies if this has been asked before - just direct me to the thread

Having briefly looked at the trial version of ICC2005 why would I want to buy it if I have ICC2002?

It seems to be virtually identical

Both games are crepe, designed by morons and played by very few.
Crepe? Isn't that a thin pancake used to wrap food in?

So, as I understand it, you know Chris Childs personally, and can say that the man is an imbecile...interesting!!!

And we can expect a full survey of all cricket game players on which computer cricket games they play very shortly?

I suggest you go and find another forum where they don't use big words.

Crepes

On the subject of crepes:

A crepe is also 'a fine often gauzelike fabric with a wrinkled surface'

Interestingly as well, given that he was comparing two games and not one it would be more accurate to say "both are crepes" rather than "both are crepe"

There are many differences:

Spinners don't dominate international play as they did in ICC2002.
Once a batsman who comes in later overtakes the score of the batsman who's been in longer, a wicket doesn't fall almost immediately as it tended to in ICC2002..
The World Cup occurs every four years.
Some added animations and commentary.

To be patched in ICC2005:
4th innings problem with sides successfully chasing down 400+ on terrible pitches.
Database errors.
Bug where game crashes if you resign the English captaincy.
Bug where international player can never be signed again if he goes on tour when contracted to a county side (also occurs in ICC2002).
Near run out commentary still seems to occur in bursts close together (also occurs in ICC2002).

That's a very good summary Graham, there's also the issue where seemingly if a batsman scores a hundred in the first innings of a CC or test match he's guaranteed to get the MoM award.
