Cricketer Of The Year
ICC Sim League VII
Format
This will be a twelve team tournament featuring both Test teams & First class teams from the era 1928-1953. All fixtures will be four-day matches, simmed on ICC 2013. Each team will face off against all of their opponents in the round robin stage. After eleven rounds, the top five placed teams will contest the finals series. In the event of two or more teams being tied on points at the end of the final round, the team with the better quotient will attain the higher position. Each manager will select a squad of 15.
Points System
Win – 6 pts
Loss – 0 pts
Won 1st innings in tied match – 4 pts
Lost 1st innings in tied match – 3 pts
Won 1st innings in drawn match – 2 pts
Loss, but won 1st innings – 2 pts
Lost 1st innings in drawn match – 0 pts
Quotient (Quot.) – Runs per wicket for divided by runs per wicket against.
Player Eligibility
Players must have played at least one international match between 1928-1953 to be eligible for selection. Managers of First Class teams (NSW, Vic, Yorks, Lancs, Surrey) may bolster their team with non-Test players if they wish, however, such players must have played the majority of their FC career between 1928-1953. When applicable, players which represented two or more First Class teams will be primarily available for the team they represented the longest. This will be determined by calendar years, not matches played.
Form/Injuries
Because I am simming each game individually, form will be non-existent. Any form, or lack of form, a player gains will be reset before the next match. Likewise, injuries are not a factor in this tournament either.
