Actually, I just realised that this thread WAS first, so I'm at fault - I didn't see it until I'd posted mine (had to go and grab the link from cricinfo) :saint:

i dont want want to get involved in this thread too but i will just give you one example.
In AFL competition in aus "PIES" sometimes getaway with offences that other clubs usually get penalised for and a lot of people(from other clubs) complain about his but nothing usually ever happens and the special treatment continues. Now this club has history, is the richest, has most members(i think) and importantly influential people. maybe this has something to do with it or maybe not but it exists.

another example(is you dont mind). The Late Mr.Hookes always used to say that you had to be from NSW to be picked for aus cause they get special treatment.

now i'm sure this happens in other sports too. so is it not possible that such a things might exist in cricket too.

I didn't realise the ICC had the power to control the minds of all their employees - clearly it's their fault for Broad voicing his opinion.

Yes, because it's not as if anyone else has noticed that there might be something dubious about his action when bowling that delivery is it?

And if you believe that you believe that Rikki Clarke should be opening the batting AND bowling in the 3rd Test against the West Indies...

What by reporting a guy who has a *clearly* suspect delivery... (Why is that in their own interests? Have they got a personal vendetta against Murali?)

Its a strange concept to some, but not everything has to be race related...

The thing to consider here is that Broad is very new to the job, and after all the fuss surrounding Murali when previously reported or called, he'd have to be pretty sure of some doubt before doing anything - but no, let's just play the race card.

I don't see a race issue here, especially when you view it alongside the 'conspiracy theory' that it is in order to prevent Murali from claiming the world record for test dismissals.

After all, there's a certain Shane Warne who will get it instead - remember him? Just back from a year's suspension - hardly the cleanest of clean characters (although an impeccable action).

Oh, this one will run and run.

And if you believe that you believe that Rikki Clarke should be opening the batting AND bowling in the 3rd Test against the West Indies...
He opened the bowling in the second innings against the Carib Beer XI

(mmmmmmm beer)

Yet another well thought out and researched post there Chris - got any real evidence?
You only have to watch the movie Muril's Wedding to see it.

What this has to do with a Sri Lankan bowler, though, is very obscure indeed.

Cheers,

Mike
