Hookes XI

There are a lto of World XIs made on CW but this one would be to play a match for Hookesy.

The players comprising this squad would be the ones who were closest to David Hookes, not necessarily the best and not necessarily Australian. I got this idea when Liam made a development league CW Hookes XI team to play a match in memory of Hookes.

It would actually be a good idea on the ICC's part to play a match between a Hokees XI and a World XI in the home ground of Hookes with the Ian Chappell, Border, among others in the squad.

Whom would you pick in the Hookes XI?

Hmm it would be entertaining to say the least , the proceeds to some charity I guess.
But both Chappell's & Greig are closer to 60 than 40 , and at that age even a one off game can be very harsh on the body.

But if a Hookes XI were picked then Lehmann , Chappell , Chappell jnr , Tony Greig , Warne , Gillespie , Tim Neilson would be pretty essential.

The Hookes XI team can always recieve a handicap. Like they bowl for 20 overs while the ROW bowls for 50 overs...

BTW, who is Tim Neilson?
