Heath Streak Cancer Struggle

HeathDavisSpeed

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend

Gutting - great player to watch and so valuable for Zimbabwean cricket. I see that this was a case of colon cancer. Far too young. As I’ve mentioned before - if in doubt, get it checked out. I’m in my 40s and on a three-year colonoscopy cycle due to risk factors and previously detected polyps. If I hadn’t had that awkward conversation with the GP, maybe I’d have left it too late.

The Sean

Cricketer Of The Year
Jesus. Just horrible news - after the reports of his cancer emerged earlier in the year it seems that everyone feared the worst, but even so 49 is no age at all. RIP to a very fine cricketer.

RIP

The mark he left on cricket will be forever remembered...

His work with the Bangladesh team during his coaching stint was integral to developing their pace bowling...

Jeez, didn't even know he'd been ill. Was a fine player and stood out for Zim imo. What a terrible loss. Far too young. RIP. Thoughts with his family and friends.

Whatever it takes!!!
I still honestly believe Shakib bore the brunt of the ban just to not give away Streak. We can discuss long on the ethics but to me, it also shows he was a seen as a genuinely good person, friend and coach. This is really so tragic. :(
