Haven't been following the India v Pakistan series much beyond checking the score at the end of every day and just noticed that Pakistan have picked Mohammad Sami yet again. And surprise surprise, in the first innings he bowled 29 overs without taking a wicket. He has no control, doesn't get much bounce, can't really swing it or reverse it much, isn't disciplined enough to bowl to a set field and he's even lost his express pace over the last few years.
His career record is abysmal.
But, as much as I would love to spend time tearing apart this abomination of a test bowler, the question I have is more to do with the incompetence of the Pakistani selectors (either that or the degree of severity of the information with which Sami is blackmailing the PCB):
Has there ever been a player with such a terrible record as Sami selected for so many tests? I imagine that there may be a few Bangladeshi players who have shocking records with 20 or 30 caps to their name, but I can't think of one which has done any worse than Sami (and he even gets to play against Bangladesh which they obviously don't!). Is poor old Mohammad unique in his implausible continued selection?
