eoin morgan hung them up today. a man at the forefront of turning the most dour white ball nation into trail blazing world champions.

who you got as the kingpin of these four though?

nasser hussain - took england from bottom of the test rankings to second in the world. beat the west indies for the first time in three decades and lead england to memorable wins in pakistan and sri lanka. could never get to grips with australia tho.
AOB - elite commentator

michael vaughan - lead england to their only win in the caribbean since 1968, a feat england have not match since. beat south africa 2-1 in what i think is quite overlooked and then lead england to nirvana in beating australia for the first time since 1989 in the GOAT test match series. it all fell apart quickly afterwards due to injuries and issues throughout the squad.
AOB - turned out to be a colossal **** in his post playing career. a walking, talking embodiment of the daily mail.

andrew strauss - lead england to be the number one test team in the world. regaining the ashes in 2009 before going down under and leading england to a comprehensive 3-1 victory, including three innings wins along the way. demolished india 4-0 in 2011, the pinnacle of english test match cricket since pre WWII. as per vaughan, it all fell apart very quickly afterwards.
AOB - Tory

eoin morgan - took the most backwards white ball team in the world and turned them into boundary hitting monsters. had a lot of natural hitters at his disposable but gave them the belief and backing to go out and do their jobs. snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the 2016 T20 final before finally shaking all the ghosts of the past by leading england to glory in the 2019 world cup.
AOB - renowned avoider of any effort whatsoever when called upon by his county middlesex

Stokes has already beaten them and no, its not premature.

Morgan in ODIs shouldnt be compared but he achieved the most.

Out of the other three, i rate Vaughn.

it seems very premature to say Stokes is the best without him even doing his second away tour and zero Ashes

Morgan was absolutely key to our resurgence in white ball cricket.

As a batsmen, he lead the way to a more attacking approach. As a captain he lead the side brilliantly and was able to install a no fear approach to our batting.

A truly great player for us.

In the test arena, I'd probably go for Vaughan. He changed our mindset and without that we wouldn't have won the 2005 Ashes.
