Great catches at clutch moments

Obviously inspired by SKY's marvel in the final. As a catch it was of the very highest order, he was moving with great momentum towards the rope and to keep inside and the ball under control was a fabulous effort. In terms of the moment, it was huge, the last over of a final and if that had gone for six, you would have backed Miller to get 10 runs off five balls.

I struggle to think of a comparable catch across formats at such a moment. Indian fans will always think of Kapil in 1983 and while that was a fine and important catch, it was not as difficult or clutch as this one. The other one I can think of was in a losing cause by IIRC Mark Waugh catching VVS in Chennai in the final innings in 2001 which triggered a collapse which almost saw Australia pull off a sensational win. That catch was superb but not as clutch as SKY.

What else is there?

The catch of Misbah-ul-Haq by Sreesanth in the 2007 T20 WC Final. Of course that was a sitter and my sister would be ashamed to drop that, but that catch ended the match, literally. I also think that it was Sreesanth of all people makes it special.

Brilliant Mitchell Santner c & b to win the test with about 3 overs to go on day 5 v Pakistan. If the match had been drawn, NZ wouldn't have qualified for the WTC final.

i really enjoyed that geraint jones catch when the ball rebounded after clattering into strauss leg. old trafford 2005 off the bowling of flintoff.
The Kasprowicz one to win the 2nd Test wasn't a straight-forward grab, either. I always thought that one was underrated.

The Henry Nipples one to dismiss Pant in the 2021 WTC final was huge. Southee's catch in the 2019 World Cup final to dismiss Buttler, I remember thinking at the time was so calm and clutch.
