Gilly was before Sehwag
True, but a lot of their time was contemporaneous. I will say Gilly was a really devastatingly quick scoring batsman down the order. I don't know if that was "revolutionary", though. Viv would bludgeon opposition from down the order too.

When Sehwag came, he started the innings with such a fierce onslaught, I feel it was more revolutionary of an approach, but regardless those 2 were in a league of their own.
