If you consider both the formats, then Williamson tops it as Williamson is a mile ahead than Boycott in ODI's. When it comes to Test Cricket both have solid textbook techniques, both are consistent but Boycott stands more tall. Boycott was equally great in all the countries he played, highlighting he averages 82 in Pakisthan. Williamson averages great numbers mostly against not so great bowling opponents like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and West Indies, also like the former the latter has also done extremly well against Pakisthan.
But Williamson always played perfectly when the team demanded in the both the format, unlike Boycott who couldn't alter his ways when the team demanded such even in Test Cricket, despite having a Test cricket perfect technique!

Kane can finish ahead but I personally think his away record is a more serious problem than Boycott's tempo because Boycott was an opener. Still loses points because of how rigid he was but pushing the game on wasn't his primary job.
He would have the same strike rate as Border if he batted 5/6 too but Border never faces scrutiny for his strike rate. Think I would take Root and Kohli over Boycott but longevity keeps Boycott in those discussions.

Starting very young and batting position are both fair caveats, but I cba going over this again.
