Has this been decided yet, also is it a strict rank them 1-30 on each and average, or does one have more weighting?

At this stage, i haven't decided, i was gonna ask for peoples opinions on how we could link them together to get rankings....

Here is my proposal for how the draft points will work...


Division 3
8th (1 pnt)
7th (2 pnts)
6th (3 pnts)
5th (4 pnts)
4th (5 pnts)
3rd (6 pnts)
2nd (7 pnts)
1st (8 pnts)

Division 2
8th (6 pnts)
7th (7 pnts)
6th (8 pnts)
5th (9 pnts)
4th (10 pnts)
3rd (11 pnts)
2nd (12 pnts)
1st (13 pnts)

Division 1
8th (11 pnts)
7th (12 pnts)
6th (13 pnts)
5th (14 pnts)
4th (15 pnts)
3rd (16 pnts)
2nd (17 pnts)
1st (18 pnts)

New Teams
6th (17 pnts)
5th (18 pnts)
4th (19 pnts)
3rd (20 pnts)
2nd (21 pnts)
1st (22 pnts)

This is the ammount of point you would recieve for your position in each competition, so if you finished 1st in D1 4d and 3rd in D1 1d then you would collect 34 points, in the end the lowest points would pick 1st and the higest last...

What do u think, obviously points could be tweaked a little bit if needed...

yeah i like the looks of that, BUT new teams must be last, even after 1st div 1 OD and 4d and the points should go up at a faster rate i think

Yeah the new teams should be last, BUT last year the weaker new teams got in before the top D1 teams, so i thought it would be fair to do the same this year...
But like i said this is just to get peoples minds ticking....

Looks good to me, gives the new one's a bit of a chance.

Don't know how it's good for Auckland to be so low though WCCC - you do understand less points is better than more?

Also GB, if 2 are tied, how do you differentiate?

if auckland do really bad it means they pick in the top 3 atleast!!

If 2 teams are the same CA Cup position will be taken into account, if still level whoever is higher on 4D will pick 2nd out of the 2...
