All Time Legend
Tasmania vs Northern Districts

An interesting match with the outcome never really in doubt. Tasmania flogging ND by 4 wickets.

Northern Districts with the home ground advantage looked to be a good chance to win, but the chances of that fell when they suddenly 3-14. This didn't improve for the Northern Districts team and when Vettori fell for a duck, they were 9-69.

Amazingly it was their strike bowler J.Yovich who topped scored for the struggling team getting 28. ND all out for 121.

Tassie cruised to victory by 6 wickets with
M.Di Venuto 38* and J.Cox 29.

MOM: M.D.Pascoe with 4-31

Firstly Graham anytime

Now onto the games in a double header Kent took on a strong Lancashire team. The first game Kent sent out a near 1st team and it showed with Kent destorying the Lancashire batting lineup with great allround performances however M.McCague figures of 3/19 stood out. In reply Kent made hard work of the easy target of 92, but they were always going to get there and did so with 5 wickets to spare.

The second of the games saw Kent send out a much changed side which included many 2nd team players and only two strike bowlers which backfired on Kent as Lancashire again batted first but this time amassed a massive total of 301/5 which an marvlous 168no from the experiance G.Lloyd, M.Ealham took the best bowling award for Kent with fine figures of 3/44 in such a big total. In reply Kent would have to bat out of their skins but with a weaker team they were never really in the hunt only R.Key with a super 106no and J.Tredwell promoted to the top of the order in a pinch hitters role hitting a fine 63, Kent never really in the hunt finished of the innings at 231/8, but a fine effort from some of the second team, which is now going to make the draft decision even harder.

Well what a game it was...

South Australia up against undefeated Queensland in a friendly, although the game had alot more value to it...

South Australia won the toss and elected to bat, and despite losing Adcock for 1 and Blewett for 10, they recovered from 2/34, through Fitzgerald and Lehmann, to be 2/95...
Fitzgerald departed for 53 but Lehmann was joined by Michael Miller and the 2 dominated the QLD attack posting a partnership of 100 before Miller was dismissed for 51...
Lehmann continued and despite losing Harris and Deitz for 7 and 11 respectiveley SA posted a challenging total of 6/236, with Lehmann finishing unbeaten on 100....
For the QLDers, Dawes and Bichel picked up 2 wickets each...

In reply QLD were expected to challenge really hard, but despite a very good 71 from Matt Hayden they really struggled, with only 1 other player (Martin Love) passing 20...
QLD lost wickets at regular intervals and never really got into a position were they looked like challenging the South Australians, eventually finishing at 9/191....
The pick of the bowlers for the home team were Paul 'Blocker' Wilson and Michael 'Magical' Miller who both bagged 3 each....

South Australia increasing their confidence with a 45 run victory, Darren Lehmann taking the MOM honours.....
SA now look forward to getting back to the season proper and consolidating their top spot this week with a win over Tamil Nadu....

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
