All the upsets happening at world cricket tournaments recently make me ask 2 questions.

1) Why is it happening when all logic dictates it shouldn't? How can the Netherlands, a side made up of retirees and club cricketers compete with full-strength South Africa let alone beat them? Even if they have the better of conditions?

and more importantly with this trend:

2) Could England finally win another Ashes Test in Australia?

International Captain
Netherlands are better than club cricketers. The team last night had 263 international one day caps and some players have a fair bit of fc experience. Others like Edwards would probably be regular fc players in another circumstance. There are only 6 fc sides in Australia. I think their are 18 counties in England. Not sure of the number of fc sides in other countries. You'd think he'd have played more fc cricket if their were more than 6 sides in Australia. I think they are a fairly settled side too so could have an advantage in team work and implementing team strategies.

Sure it's a great achievement to beat the Saffers but they're better than they're credited and qualifying for the cup and this result tends to show that.

Further reinforces my belief that international cricket is only a moderate upgrade from Singapore Cricket Association Division 3
