Former Pak Keeper Ijaz Butt passes Away

He played eight Tests for Pakistan, making his debut in Karachi against West Indies in 1959 as a wicketkeeper-batter. His last match came at The Oval against England in 1962. He was the manager of the Pakistan team for a tour of Australia in 1982 and headed the selection committee a couple of times. He also served as the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan - the precursor to the PCB - from 1984-88.

In his debut test Ijaz Butt was bowled by W. Hall for 14 but second innings he* Guided pak to win by 10 wkts open with Hanif Mohd*

In his last test he open innings at oval vs england dismissed by Larter ( who took 9 fer in the test Blow away pakistan )

Sadly blotted his copy book as chairman of the PCB in 2009-10 when he decided the best approach to try and put out all the fires burning was to pour petrol everywhere.
