Somerset Assistant Manager Press Release

Somerset are proud to announce today that they will be following up the good ideas and work of Ian (Slats4ever) and are adding an assistant manager to help out at the club. After a small search to find someone worthy of the position, it was decided that Rich (Langevelt) would take the job. Somerset said today that Rich would play a very important part at the club. A list of roles and possible roles to be played by Rich are as follows:

Roles:

a) Research on players during trades
b) Able to carry out trades so long as the the Head Manager agrees with them
c) Important role in deciding the weeks teams
d) Sometime writer of match reports
e) Opinions on draft picks

Possible Roles

a) Full control of OD side so long as head manager doesnt completely disagree.*
b) Full control of VB Cup side*
c) Manager of press releases

*Note: Only one of these may happen. Eg if Rich has control of the OD side he will not take the VB side and vice versa. If Somerset stay in D4 in OD, Rich will not take the side. There is a strong possibilty he will take neither.

Surrey announce that they too think this idea is a bit stupid, and will not be employing an assistant at any point unless the timing of the manager's holiday is such that one is needed, and in that case, it will be a caretaker.
