Finance Department

When will the finance department be releasing the sponsorship amounts for division winners and other financial information? I think it would be a good time to announce these incentives well before the 'official' trading period opens, as it would give managers a greater idea of what their financial situation will be for next season. Also, with it being the first time that wages have been introduced into WCC it would be good to get the information out as early as possible as to avoid any confusion when players start getting moved around. It would be also beneficial to managers to know what kind of budget they may have for the season, so they know what players they will need under their cap and what to keep for the draft.

I don't think any information is necessary actually Kyle.

Managers already know next season's salary budgets, and the running costs for next season don't have any affect on this season or any trading.

Aside from that, none of it is available till the end of the season (because of the sponsor feedback into managers and their comments through the season)

I thought teams that won their divisions were getting prize money? Surely this information would be available before the start of next season. If I were a manager and I won my division and I traded a player that I couldn't afford, then found out I could have afforded him with my prize money I would be very unhappy.

The prize money comes into effect next season though - it has absolutely no bearing on this draft or trading period.

Ok, fair enough. At least that's cleared up... :D

Prize money all goes towards running costs (along with sponsorship) - that you will have to allocate before the new season starts so that we get the right number of rookies etc.

Wage budget is calculated separately and the next budget you're given will actually be for Season 9.

Just one question.. I'm still not 100% sure on this.

Our Transfer budget/Sign on fee budget that we have (The remainder of our running costs) covers pre-draft trading and post-draft trading, right?

Yes, it's to cover all trading you undertake.

No, the salary cap that's announced in season 8 will be for season 9, the only real way we could implement it.

Yes, there are a few manager changes that have taken place.

If any manager wishes to be reminded of their budgets (or even informed of them!), can they please email The FD [wccc_fd@cricketweb.net] - with your team name!
