Ben Stokes has to be in there due to one fact ,
England have never really prioritised bilateral ODI series the way traditional test nation powerhouses have , hence why England have played way less ODI matches than an India , Australia , Pakistan etc..

Stokes averages 59 in World Cups and has a winners medal, Pietersen averages 47 in World cups and doesn't , plus Stokes is a much better fielder and bowler than Root or Pietersen ..

Has to be an automatic pick imo
