  • Michael Di Venuto, a former Australian cricketer, is being inducted as the 10th member of Durham Cricket’s Hall of Fame, recognizing his significant contributions to the club, including helping them win back-to-back County Championship titles in 2008 and 2009.
  • Di Venuto played for Durham County Cricket Club from 2007 until his retirement from county cricket in July 2012, scoring 1,654 runs in the 2009 season alone, though his form dipped in his final year.
  • After retiring, Di Venuto transitioned into coaching, serving as Australia’s batting coach and later as head coach of Surrey from 2016 to 2020, showcasing his lasting impact on the sport.
