The NFL's anti-doping policy says that a first time offence for nandrolone results in a 4 week ban. Yes, 4 weeks. Did the watchful eye of WADA just miss that?

Anyway, Association Football has a history of being soft on drugs too: Rio only got 8 months & (IIRC) Jaap Stam got something like 4 months for testing positive.

None of the major US sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) are governed by WADA.

2. Pakistan is a signatory of the WADA code. Two men test positive for nandrolone in internal PCB tests done out of competition. An independent tribunal clears two men of doping under the PCB Anti Doping Code. WADA take them to court of arbitration.

AFAIK USADA conforms to the WADA code, but NFL isn't governed by USADA

Four week is a joke, just as the PCB decides to clear their two best bowlers. It shows that both codes are pretty soft about it.

Imagine if stuff like DNA testing were brought in, how many would be kicking up a hissy fit over civil rights (was an extreme example TBF)?

Im not going to read through the whole thread as Im in a hurry. but the initial post is just plain stupid and looking for trouble.

What the hell has the US got to do with the West and what has American Football got to do with other sports and governing bodies.

American Football is not governed by World Doping laws. In fact the laws are stupidly lax.

In the NFL the 1st time a player is caught for drugs they are warned and not even their own team or the press are informed. The 2nd time is a 4 game ban. The third time a player is caught it is a season suspension.

However, what happens in American football is competely irrevelant to anything else. They set their standards low (as basically the sport is awash with social and performance enhancing drugs) and they need to get players and especially their stars on the field.

US domestic sports are just that. It isnt international competition. They have set their own rules in partnership with a strong players union. Most international (and many domestic) competitions are governed by the World Doping people and are treated in a uniform and unbiased fashion.

The 1st post is just plain ignorant and looking for silly excuses.
