Pre-WWI was probably extremely tough.Irrelevant here, still asking when did flat track era began and when did it end.
Pre WWI Australia was tough but normal tough, England and SA were nightmare.Pre-WWI was probably extremely tough.
20s probably fair but a little batting friendly.
30s batting friendly but a little overstated because Bradman, definitely batting friendly though.
40s, Idk about the pitches but the team imbalance was insane, Australia being much stronger than the war torned England in every single way, idk if the pitches were uber flat or if the English bowlers just weren't good enough to take out Australia. definitely still a batting era tho imo.
50s extremely bowler friendly everywhere bar the west indies.
60s batter friendly bar England which was probably neutral and New Zealand which were greentops.
Pakistan bowler friendly bar the uber batting friendly Pakistan.
80s being bowler friendly all around bar perhaps the exception of India.
90s Bowler friendly bar again, perhaps England.
2000s being complete featherbeds except Sri Lanka and South Africa, and Sri Lankan pitches being completely unproductive for pace bowling.
2010-2015, South Africa, England and West Indies become more productive for bowling, Sri Lanka gets flatter.
2015-2025, everywhere except Pakistan decided to become minefields, there is New Zealand which is a little neutral though
this is my personal view, and I could very well be wrong at points.

I think it was probably like modern day Australia, good seam movement and bounce but if you're a good Batsmen you can also make a bunch of runs.Pre WWI Australia was tough but normal tough, England and SA were nightmare.
I did a calculation on England's run output in the 1940s Ashes serieses, the RPW was genuinely 29.6, considering the attack this certainly isn't low but it's kind of...okay? I expect 32-33 atleast for road wickets.40s were just genuinely all around flat. English batters scored tons of runs too.
I think they weren't flat in theory but on practicality, when an entire decade lacks a good spinner, batting was probably pretty easy on then, no away spinners for India to worry about (like Lyon in this era) and no good home spinners.80s India weren't necessarily very flat, we just lacked any quality spinners (tbf the decade did as a whole)
probably not completely unproductive but honestly I think they were pretty much the definition of turners, not like the ones Pakistan and India recently make but if one is good enough at hitting a certain length, they can probably exploit on the uneven pace and bounce.2000s SL I don't think we're completely unresponsive to pacers. Vaas had a Great record there and a no of pacers succeeded, but not productive for pace is alright.
