Yes. If they played First XI on Friday there a no-no, and so are the contracted players (presumably some players are in both categories).

1 more question, if i post the side on his behalf does it count as a non submission towards the 2nd xi manager.

If I can throw my opinion in here (probably not wanted), I think that if a 2nd XI manager doesn't submit but the First XI manager does, it shouldn't count as a forfeit or go against to the First XI manager and his team...instead a strike should go against the 2nd XI manager?
3 strike rule like before...

I think rather expecting blewy or the board keep track of everything.. the first managers should be responsible.. and keep track of the 3 strikes.. because only the managers would know when their 2nd XI managers have emailed in advance to let know they are having issues posting or are away etc..

Yeah, that makes more sense and is fairer.

If you communicate, does it really matter who posts the actual side?

On that note, thanks to Ian for helping me out last week. Hopefully I should be right to go from now on.

I think the problem may be a 2nd XI manager not being in communication with the 1st XI manager at all?

you hit the nail on the head there my friend. i have spoken to him once or twice but only via email. i kep an eye on his team untill about an hour before deadline but i can not do that every week, as i am happy to help out however i feel the 2nd xi manager needs to do some things also. but i feel the time difference between countries is a key to it working well or not.

well if the 1st XI manager posts it he should say if there has been communication before it and if the 2nd xi agreed on it. then its not a strike for the 2nd xi manager.
