Johnston is a pacer, a great one, so he's in league with Murali and Warne.

on a serious note, Johnston for the overseas performance in England and South Africa.

Tbh. I know I did also post a top bowler list, but hell I find it difficult to compare pacers and spinners.

I think Johnston is underrated a bit. In the bowlers poll from last year Keith Miller ranked at 38. Bill Johnston ranked at 59. (Ashwin was 26th)

Frankly I think thats ridiculous. I don’t think he’s better than Ashwin, he had an injury curtailed career. Due to being versatile with both pace and spin he often bowled the lions share of the overs. (for instance, he bowled 80 more overs during the 48 Ashes than any other Aussie bowler) Ashwin’s career weight is just way too heavy but Johnston gets overlooked a lot.

Would people agree he’s #3 amongst left arm pacers? Or will they argue for Vaas, Johnson, Starc, Boult and Wagner?
