Blewy

Cricketer Of The Year
Well as you may well know ND have lost another manager...

Steds has become the 1 millionth ND manager to go through the NZ town as manager and come out the other side not long after...

In an attempt by the WCC Board to get some stability into the scene in the NZ town, they have approached South Australian manager Simon Fitzsimmons to take over the helm and lead this struggling side out of the doldrums...

However Fiztsimmons told the Board that he would only do it if his beloved SA was left in good hands...

Therefore with the help of the Chairman Brendon Goff, SA have now appointed Karnataka manager Hakon Moerk to the helm of the most successful club in WCC history...

The WCC board would like to wish both managers the best of luck....

Wow Karnataka have had a brilliant start to the season and I was looking forward to beating Hakon in our 4 day clash to prove that he can't walk the walk.

From an outsiders point of view I always sensed a little bit of in-fighting between the SACA and Fitzsimmon, and it is this that I believe has forced him from the club. Nothing ever really seemed right there since Blewy's departure... Was he "asked" to levae by SACA? This departure's all a little bit sudden to me and it'll be interesting to see what the SACA release in their press conference... if they choose to release one at all.

I'll try to find out in the interview..

i dont want to comment too much, but ive stressed to several people over the last month or two my current situation in wcc and how i was feeling about managing in the future. While its a shame to leave SA i feel its time for me to move on. i was successful in my original aim of keeping SA at the top of the 4d game, the current side is very able and Hakon has the ability to keep them in the top 2 of both forms.

My move to ND was probably unexpected by most, however for a long time now they have been considered the poorest side in the whole competition, the board have been frustrated at the lack of progression since first manager Eyes Only left. We had high hopes for Steds as a manager and he showed he had some ability during the times he was keeping up to date. however the high pressure world of wcc caught up with him and he was left with no option but to leave. ND currently have their best side ever and i am hoping to guide them to a possible FC promotion, 1d will be tough, but i wont be giving up.

one more thing that should be added is that Karnataka is now open for applications from current managers. they are a very capable side with some real super stars, anyone wishing to apply email wccc@cricketweb.net within the next day or 2...

haha the days when ND were not only in the same division as TN and SA, but they could match them!
