Betting in Season 4

Betting will return bigger and better than even next season. It will be run by Marc and myself. Below are the rules and options for which you will have to abide by. We think the new options and ideas will make it a lot more fun than previous seasons.

Betting options

*Head to Head
All Matches
Win, lose or draw

*Top Run Scorer
3 or 4 matches from the round
Highest run scorer in first innings (both 1d and 4d)
Both teams must be given the chance to complete their first innings for bets to stand (4d). If rain means the 1st innings is incomplete, bets are refunded.

*Highest team score for the round
At least 1 of the 15 sides must complete a first innings for bets to stand (4d only), if all matches are rain effected, bets are refunded.
Pays for highest team total in all matches (1d)

*Batting match ups
Selected match ups from selected matches. eg
T Darden vs B Lara (highest wins)
T Darden $1.70
B Lara $2.05
pays for first innings only and both batsmen must face a ball for bets to stand. Bet is void if both players are not out.

Both players selected in a particular batting match up will be from the same match, weather they be on the same team or playing against each other.

*Betting rules
Each manager is given $500 per week on top of their current balance. if a manager fails to bet for 4 weeks their account is frozen on the current total.

Multi bets may not contain anymore that 4 legs
You may not have more than 1 multi bet per round.

Minimum bet will be $50. Weather you have $500 or $1 million in your account the minimum bet will be this amount.

We hope everyone gets involved and enjoys the new rukes and options. Any more suggestions are welcomed, but may not neccisarily incorporated.

I just hope the odds are a bit more realistic. For example on a head to head - Team A $1.20 v Team B $2.00.

Team B's odds should be a lot longer than that (maybe $5.00). Close games should be something like $1.80 and $2.00.

yes odds will definately be more realistic.
eg. closely matched sides would be around the $1.75 to $1.95.
Or when a side like SA plays Guyana in the vb cup its likely odds would be more likely to be $1.18 to $5.00
Of course im not going to get it right every time, but it will try and get it as close as possible.

a lot of people enjoy doing it. Managers arent forced to do it if they dont want to, but a lot will join in. It's just for a bit of fun and you will find yourself paying a lot more attention to other teams matches and how the other teams players are going.
