My choice is Razzaq definatley, though Klusner in 99 WC was scary.
lol funny thing... when i looked at the title, i was thinking Razzaq myself. HE is as clean hitter of the ball as i've seen.

Afridi and Gilchrist are the abvious choices in this era, but someone like Hussey could be good.
For slog overs?. I am sure you meant power plays.

Gilchrist in slog overs is impossible, but Afridi occasionally bats then. He's a dangerous batsman even at that stage.

The best slog-overs basher would have to be one of Hussey, Flintoff, Kemp and Dwayne Smith, from those currently in action.

Razzaq and Symonds for me. But there really are quite a few batsmen who can light it up in the slog overs. Just depends on who gets their eye in on the right day.

That Johan van der Wath guy can hit some pretty big shots. Be bit Brett Lee for a straight 6 in an ODI once.

Hussey because he is more than just a slogger, i remember a video someone posted on here where whatever FLeming did Hussey just kept on scoring, brilliant stuff.

I'd have to say Symonds is pretty damn effective, and I wouldn't really refer to Hussey as a slogger. McCullum has played some good innings down the bottom, as has Boucher. But for best Slog overs basher I would give the title to Mr Shaun Pollock.

Afridi has to be on the list. He'll slog no matter what. Razzaq is also good at slog overs. I guess you can say Lara because he got like 26 runs I think it was in an over once in a Test Match. Sachin sometimes also gets the slog overs.

Matthew Hoggard comes to mind as a particularly fine slogger of the ball.
Trent Bridge 2005, no criticism of his batting will ever be accepted after that cover drive...
