Australia, 10 years down the track [ICC 2005]

Team: Australia
Year: 2015
Difficulty: Normal

Over the last 10 years we've experienced the ups and downs of the Australian cricket team. The regulars in the side then Matthew Hayden, Justin Langer, Damien Martyn, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, and Glenn McGrath have retired and made way for the newest superstars of World cricket. The team is now at a time where there is a healthy mix of youth and experience, looking to dominate the world.

Lead by Jeff London, a 27 year old from the small city of Geelong, they are currently sitting nicely in a respectable 3rd position in the Test Championship but are struggling in the shorter version of the game, in 5th position. Now they will try keep their undefeated test series run since the start of 2014 in tact and defend their series win in New Zealand which was recorded 6 years ago, in 2009.

Needing a mammoth 425 runs in 3 and a half sessions, and 170 runs in the last session, Australia shut up shop in the final session of the test, playing out for the draw...

Looks like you have a pretty solid batting lineup. Bowlers look pretty weak though (same problem as icc2002).

Yeah I've got batsmen coming out of my ears, bowling is another story

Whitehead starred with the ball in both innings, taking his 2nd ten wicket match in only 12 games. Althought New Zealand made the only two centuries, they were unlucky not to win the match. Australia got over the line with 5 balls to spare, chasing their target of 220 in a little under 2 sessions. Although Australia won the match, they suffered a casuality in Paul, the 26 year old fast bowler.

Australia batted New Zealand out of the match with their first innings. New Zealand couldn't make enough runs in their 2nd dig to draw or win the match, setting Australia 170 runs in over 2 sessions. Australian Captain London, with his 160 was the highlight of the match. Another injury for Australia saw inform opener Andy Hislop injured for 4 weeks

Australia win the 3-test series 2-0

MOTS: Nick Munday - 151 runs @ 37.75, 15 wickets @ 25.53

Australia were just too strong with both bat and ball. Keither Senior improves his magnificant form with his highest ODI score. Debutant George North, did not get a chance to bat

Outplayed yet again! Can New Zealand scrounge a win this whole series?
