The following is a list of players chosen by the Australian Board of Selectors for the up coming TEST tour of New Zealand.

8. Darren Lehmann
9. Brad Haddin
10. Glenn McGrath
11. Brett Lee
12. Jason Gillespie
13. Shane Warne
14. Stuart McGill
15. Michael Kasprowicz

Congratulations to all the players selected.
The most notable surprise pick was that of Matthew Elliot. His form in last years Pura Cup put him ahead of other likely contenders to take one of the batting squad positions.
Selectors feel that with the Waugh boys gone that old heads like Martyn, Lehmann and Elliot should be included to help new players such as Katich find their feet in the Test arena.
Two spinners have been taken away, and depending on conditions, Slats4ever has hinted at a desire to play both.

This thread is going to be locked.I will make a thread for each tour 10 days before when it is 11 days away still...then I will make another thread in the team sheet for the squads...the first thread will be just for fixtures and general chat and results will be posted on that thread while scorecards will be e-mailed...And you have to pick 2 squads...one for ODI and one for Tests
