Todd Murphy looks very very good from some brief footage. Good fundamentals, presence and doesn't look too raw

I see no disadvantage to playing both Murphy and Lance Morris in a dead rubber. Gives them a small taste of test cricket so a win win

Abbott a good pick from Burgey as per usual. Home pitch, good consistent operator.Like for like with Green but bats 7. But doubtful he'll get a call

And they need to try out for ashes. Having Lance Morris is an important option, cos they have Jofra Archer and he's fit again

I don't think Boland is suited to english conditions, untested on duke ball

why play two off spinners? Lyon is more than sufficient in that regard.

I don't know for sure, but imagine it's to give Murphy a taste of test cricket. Especially bowling in tandem with Lyon could be very reassuring for the young man

I kinda don’t see the point of picking him at all tbh.
Obviously he’ll go to England and if selected will dominate, but Adelaide and brisbane aside, he shouldn’t be in the frame with his lack of pace and bounce. Prefer others.
